2lt +3lt package difference in sound systems ?

i am more fond of the 2lt sound because they carry more bass and don't pop as much. i've had bose in the past and it doesn't sound to good. one of my friends that does speaker installation says bose is horrible. he says if your going to change the speakers go with infinity or alpine
