I sold my 2003 cobra and drove down to krbeck and ordered my first vette .Being a ford guy and having mustangs my whole life this was a major move for me .But at 36 ive out grown the mustang scene and after driving the new vette i was hooked .i hope the car is all i expect it to be
If it isn't, I'll give you enough to buy a brand new GT Mustang and take the Vette in trade. j/k. You'll enjoy it. And of course, you'll take all the pics and show it on here the very first day you get it, right?
Ford is cheap, they can't even paint outside the right or left mirrors on there Mustangs, still not on the GT500/Shelbys, what a joke... Congrats on your new ride!

Congrats on your new order!
I understand your difficulty! I too am a Ford guy at heart, always have been and always will be. Always been a Mustang guy too. Have owned several, though they were all '69's and 70's. Other than the Corvette, I will only buy Fords. My daily driver is a F150 4X4. When it was time for the sports car, I first went and looked at the new Mustangs and the GT500. Thought what the heck and went and looked at a 2008 C6. After comparing what I was getting for the money, the Vette won hands down. Anyone that knows me still can not believe there is a Chevy in my garage! Your just going to love the 08 C6. It will be even more than you are expecting.
I really don't care for all the Ford slams that have already started and are yet to come! Having said that, now the personal attacks will begin. Gotta love the forum!

yeah im getting alot af grief for going over to what ive been told is the darkside but after driving this machine i was hooked
I was a long-term member of the Inland NW Mustang Club with many different Mustangs....including heavily modified Cobras.....I got a lot of the 'darkside' comments when I sold the Cobra for my first used 'Vette, a 98 coupe......I have never looked back or missed the Stangs at all. You will LOVE your '08, and if you are anything like me, after about a year, you will see a Mustang and ask yourself......."What did I ever see in that car"

Congrats on your purchase. I'm in the same boat. All Ford's except for C6 Vert. Wife drives Eddie Bauer Expedition and I drive F-150 Lariat
to work. We cruise around in the vette on weekends.

It may not be the most popular opinion here, but brand loyalty really limits your choices in cars. The Corvette is a great car, but to not look at all brands available is foolish. I bet a lot of people here have owned Mustangs in the past (I know I have).
If you need a compact car, are you really going to say "I can't look at a Civic/Mazda 3 etc, because it isn't made by GM?"
its crystal red metallic with blk interior z-51 chrome wheels 6 speed glass roof 3 lt with zo6 exhaust or npp dont no what that stand for hope to get it by may

believe me, many on this forum would do just that.
