Default Sport Top from CCA

is proud to offer

The Carbrella Sport Top

We have contracted with the manufacturer of Carbrella tops
to offer this Corvette Coupe Temporary Top.

The Carbrella Top rests over your roof opening when your
stock roof is removed. The Carbrella Top is perfect for taking
to shows and avoiding those light rain drops, or as a
replacement for your stock top on your garaged Corvette.

$144.99

I usually don't personally comment on the products we offer
at CCA, but I really love this one. As most of you know, my Vette is garaged and
see's mostly weekend action. There have been plenty of times that I thought about
taking the top off for a short run to the store, but I almost never did. Now my top
is off almost all the time. I just pull it back into the garage and throw the Sport Top
on in about 10 seconds and I'm good to go.

It's a cool product

Awesome product. I will be ordering one today. Exactly what I have been looking for. It would be even better if they could come up with one that would easily attach so you could drive with it.

Finally! Something I can whip on when driving to work because I park in the company garage (it has a lot of dust that settles on cars) and have to put the hardtop back on. With something like this I probably wouldnt put the hardtop back on until it rains or winter returns . I'm definitely getting one.

Just make sure you don't drive with it on. I read somewhere where you can't use it while driving.

for you coupe owners, this really is a good idea and it's been around for other generations of Corvettes. if I had a coupe, I'd most likely buy one. great that they're offering it for you C6 coupe owners.

I am just waiting for someone to make one that can be locked (hopefully soon). The problem with not be able to lock the top is that it might not be there when you return since anyone can just lift it up and take it.

Please make one that can be locked in place, it can't be that hard.

I've had it at show when a passing light shower came by and it did fine.

I really would not trust it for anything more.

It works great for bird poop though

On the contrary, I think it would be quite difficult to figure out/implement a locking system. Plus it semi-defeats the intention of the product which is quik easy on/easy off. I also recognize the theft potential, but if the chances of that exist, well, that's that. You either take a chance and buy it, or you don't.

We looked at doing it last year with plastic injection molding. It was a two piece, interlocking in the center, clip points in the front and rear.

It would only cost $3.50 a top to make per 10000.

1,7 Lbs

The C6 mold was $14K
The C5 mold was $20K

We spent quite a bit of money on the CAD work, and I'd say we were 80% there. when we killed it.

We had a deal in place for a company to purchase a large sum of them, but they backed out.

We were also less than pleased with the injection mold finish

Peace
Chip
