what is the corvette stereotype?
i have heard a few people mention it and i am curious as to what it is? i have never heard a stereotype about a corvette driver so i am a little in the dark and would like to know what i am associated with now.
i used to be lumped in with the yuppies, ex BMW owner. but at least mine did 11's and had 400 rwhp.

Usually I just say, oh the stereotype of having the fastest car at the track and usually being accompanied by a hot young trophy wife or girlfriend.
I'm OK with that.

I'd add that bulky gold chains are an assumed dealer gift when you buy and drive a vette. At almost 35, my colleagues jokingly say (out of jealousy) that it is my mid-life crisis "camaro". I am OK with that. Particularly since my mid-life crisis mobile is going to ECS for a breath of supercharged air (birthday present to myself for turning 35).

I hang out on a Mustang forum (used to own one) and they all think Corvette owners are 60 years old, drive their car like an old lady, and spend more time cleaning it than driving it.
I'm 40, put 12k on my Z06 in 8 months of driving, and will be more than happy to do "spirited" driving. I clean it when I get a chance - not after every ride down the road.

the stereotype i have in my mind is older, larger, and "lacking something" downstairs if you know what I mean.
I'm 26, weigh 190lbs, and I'm more then happy to whip it out if a girl wants proof I don't fall into that stereotype, LOL

To the OP: there is a certain stereotype of Corvette owners being jerks. This is CF, I leave it to you to draw your own conclusions.

No matter what you drive if is something someone else wants but can't get, you will be stereotype,.....is called envy, if you're in your late 40s and show up with a hot new Vette and a hotter looking woman.......well you get the point, in any book is ENVY,
