Our '05 is Mag Red and it is a great color but the Crystal Red is a close second.

Damn that 05 mag red does look nice!!! A cool picture would be a combo of every C6 red! precision red, victory red, mag red, crystal red, monterey red. Anyone ever see a picture with all of them?

It's not all of them but courtesy of Kerbeck, it's a start.
Here's another shot at the reds together in paint chips.
Here's mag red on the left and Crystal red on the right again courtesy of Kerbeck.
Here's the same shot adding Monterey red.

A couple of weeks ago I was with my Corvette buds at our weekly get together and saw an 08 in Crystal Red that was parked in between two Magnetic Red cars (both of them were C5s) In the bright sun the two different colors were virtually identical! Even when the clouds rolled over they looked the same too. I know those pictures above make it look like they are different, and perhaps the C6's Magnetic Red is slightly different than the C5, or perhaps it's just color variation over the years, but with my trained eyes I could barely see a difference (and just so you know where I'm coming from, part of my career is color correction in Photoshop for a magazine publisher) They are very close! The Crystal red has just a touch more yellow to it I would say and maybe just a very very slight bit darker, but if you didn't see the cars side by side like that you'd be hard pressed to tell one from the other.
And as luck would have it, I found a picture of those cars from that day!

Do you know what year the C5s were? There were two different magnetic red colors used in the C5 run. The 2004 C5 Mag red is the same as the C6 color but the previous one was a little darker. There was also a light Carmine red metallic which was similar for the '98 Corvette C5.

I know for sure that the C5 closest to the camera is an 01, which is Magnetic Red II, the one on the other side I'm not sure.
