Default I Love XM!! They Love me Too! REFUND!

In July following the forum's advice I used the special code Zwinback $77 and activated XM on my new 07 Vert. Ofcourse I told them to bill me.

I mailed them a check for 88.62 (total of invoice with fee's)

Today I received a REFUND of 83.28!!!!!!

Anyone else receive a refund?

I never had an account with them previously but I can handle this level of service!!!!

So for a year of service it costs $5.34!!

Is you car a new vehicle from the dealer (never been titled)? If so, you may have gotten the refund because you get XM for a year free. I believe it's a year still.

The 'free' period is 90 days for XM. OnStar is 1 year.

It was previously owned by a nice old guy who played golf alot. (He had tons of golf courses loaded in the Nav unit)

I dont know if he activated it or not.

They keep billing my Discover card $46/month and I don't even have XM. Maybe I'm paying for yours?

With all the stories of XM screwing people. It's nice to get a rare break from that!! At $5 per year I might never switch to Sirius

$46 a month? Sounds like 2 receivers active? Do you pay it?

Bob,
Did you set up the communication with XM via e-mail or phone? I have tried to force the $77.00 issue but they were reluctant via phone calls to customer service.
Thanks.
Mike

I called via phone while i was sitting in my car. I got a young girl and said "I have a car that has an XM receiver in it and I would like to activate it" She was like "okay" and I gave her the radio ID and told her "Oh Also my dealer (lie - yea i lie sometimes) gave me a promotional code when i bought the car - its Zwinback" she was like "okay"

after a few minutes she asked for a credit card and i said "bill me"

she said okay... and said it would be on shortly blah blah blah and if i needed anything else? I reconfirmed promotion zwinback and asked the price is $77 and she said yea.. Hung up from there. 2-3 weeks later got a bill.

Paid bill.... about a month later August 15th I get a refund check

Anyone else get that? I've seen alot of forum ppl sign up.
