Default Convertible Top won't go back up

The convertible top on my 2007 C-6 went down by pushing the automatic button on the dash. I cleaned the interior with C-magic(it works great). However, the top will not go back up by pushing the button. Any suggestions?

Assuming its in park / brake is up

I'd look at doing the manual procedure in the owners manual.

Are you hearing any sounds eg. relays clicking, etc.?

Did you happen to lower the flap in the trunk that hides the top when it's down. There's a switch on the passenger's side that is close when you snap that flap back into place and thne the top will go up. I mention that because you said you were cleaning and you may have lowered the flap to clean behind it.

I always make sure the car is running before raising/ lowering the roof. Sometimes when I have the car in aux mode to listen to the stereo while cleaning/ detailing the car, the top acts weird if I try to raise/ lower the roof without starting the car/ bringing the battery charge back up.

Default Top won't go back up

Thanks. I did fully charge the battery. I hear no clicking or whinning(just from me). I checked to mak sure the flap was in place. I started the car and pushed the button. I guess I'll just do the manual version and take it back to the dealer. Thanks for all your help.
I'm new to owning a Corvette and you people have been most helpful.
Just got back from Bowling Green and that is why I cleaned it. Never had a problem in Bowling Green. Thanks again.

The power top will not operate if the windows are not working properly.

If your battery was discharged, your windows may need to be re-indexed by doing the following:

Hope this helps!

Default Top won't go up

Thanks. I did the indexing and the top worked again!! The battery showed 10.32 volts. That was yesterday. I put the battery tender on it and it now reads 13.23. That was all it took. Thanks again.

As I kept reading I found something about windows not being adjusted if the battery had run down. I ran the windows up then back down. Then the top came up as usual. Thank you very much!!!

Had same problem, brought to dealer.....and after holding overnight, they said it just worked....Hmmm. I did have an window indexing issue, that I reset after it was brought home.....Will test, and won't be afraid to lower top on a nice NE spring day for fear it won't close....

Windows not being indexed is the one thing that will prevent the top from moving and not give you any kind of warning in the DIC.

You should learn how to put the power top up/down manually as well. It's easy but you do need an Allen Wrench.

I was having the same problem and totally forgot about the window indexing. Thanks for the reminder. Now to put everything back together that I thought it was. Lol
