how do these hold up to automatic car washes? and what is the life expectancy of the tape? does it need to be replaced periodically? and is there any other adhesive ideas instead of tape?

I do not run my car through auto car washes!! However, I believe I was the first to have these rear blackouts on my 08 black z06 and no issues what so ever. I have some extra tape in case I need them. They are awesome and so is RPI

just placed an order... I was wondering if I could get some extra 3M VHB tape packaged with my order in efforts of being able apply tape the to taillight kit I already have that is missing the 3M VHB tape and a little extra for backup purposes.

Got my side marker covers in today. They look good, stick out a bit more than I would like, but they look better than the window tint I originally put on...
Question though, the 2 fronts, you can see the yellow marker coming through on the top. Any recommendations on what to do?

Great, these wont come off without you tearing them off, which will require enough muscle you will snap them in half before the tape releases.

We finally have the C6 Driving light blackout kit available. This two piece kit is made from pre-molded acrylic and attachs with provided 3M VHB clear tape.

No need to remove the lights. Just carefully install them and they should be centered.
