GMS vs supplier pricing?
Hello.
Can anyone explain the difference between GMS vs supplier pricing?
Is supplier pricing the same as the invoice price?
Thanks.

Supplier(GMU) and invoice are not the same but the amount is close. Supplier is usually a few dollars less then dealers invoice(dealers invoice will very depending on advertizing fees, etc that can vary from dealer to dealer). Employee (GMS) is $2,000-$3,000 under supplier depending on model/options etc.

This is not correct. Supplier pricing is discount code GSU. Supplier pricing is granted to all tier one suppliers of General Motors as the name implies. Three years ago General Motors began a program where with the help of a supplier or employee the general public could obtain a certificate that would allow them to purchase a GM car at Supplier pricing. The first program was called GMID (GM in the driveway) it was replaced with Supplier Discount for friends and family which is currently active. The supplier discount on average is a discount of roughly 9.4% off of MSRP on the car and MSRP - 16.4% on options.
GMS is General Motors employee pricing. It is normally only granted to General Motors employees. There is currently a progam underway so that everyone is able to purchase a new GM vehicle on the employee price schedule. This is a limited time offer and when it expires the GMS discount will no longer be available. GMS pricing is roughly MSRP-13.4% on the base price and MSRP-20% on options.
