Clever idea for those of you who are required to have a front plate. I have something similar for the rear plate on my 37 only it's completely out of sight when the ignition is off.

Ordered mine on the 13th, still not here. I'll post a report when it's installed.
One note to RPI Designs: a tracking number would be a nice addition.

First let me say this looks to be a very cool product. Not to rain on anyone's parade but OP's should be careful if you do get stopped. I'm a state LEO and in most states (including this one) the law says the marker plate must be permanently affixed and NOT moveable. Technically any device which allows the plate to be moved while still on the car is not legal with state DMV codes.
I doubt most LEO's are going to write tickets for this but I wouldn't push the issue either. Keep in mind in many states they could write you for 2 violations if they wanted to. If you get stopped don't attempt to flim flam the LEO! My guess is most will let you go with a warning and tell you to keep the plate in the exposed position.
I've never stopped a vehicle for no front plate because I think it's a stupid law and a waste of time. Frankly I have better things to do than worry about front plate violations.
So to those that buy this nifty new product use it wisely. If you come up behind a LEO quickly put it in the down position. Chances are he won't even notice. If you are see a line of cars being stopped for a road side inspection, flip it down. Don't however flip it down and then claim the LEO didn't just see what he just saw. I guarantee that's going to result in more problems and it won't end well.
Good luck and happy motoring...
