Default iPhone-Bluetooth Problem

I purchased an 09 3LT, paddle shifter without the nav system about a week ago. I was able to connect my iPhone to the car's bluetooth and make calls until I received a call. When the call came in I was notified by the car but there was no audio after pressing the talk button. I could however hear and speak using the iPhone after selecting the iPhone for audio via the iPhone menu. It seems the system is transferring the audio to the phone without being prompted. After the one call in, I have been able to place and receive calls but only communicate with the other party by selecting iPhone audio on the iPhone. Has anyone else had this problem. Is there a software update to correct this. By the way I've also tried using my son's cell (not an iPhone) and everything works perfectly with that. The iPhone also works in our Lexus with no problems.

Blues;

I have an 09 and an iPhone also.

Once paired, I had a problem answering the iPhone with the Vettes bluetooth until I realized I had to hold the call button on the steering wheel for two seconds.

It doesn't sound exactly like your problem but it is worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestion. I just tried both short pushes and holding for two seconds. The short pushes just muted the radio. The push and hold for 2 seconds resulted in a message saying the call was being transfered. Looks like I'll have to visit the dealer. By the way can you tell me what version of the iPhone operating system you are using? I'd hate to go back to an earlier version, but that might be the only way to solve the problem.

I am having the same issue and I have the latest update and if I answer with the iPhone my Bluetooth works. Not the car I paired my sons phone and it worked. I guess our phones are needing a fix

Hmmmm, this is interesting.

I am running version 2.1 on an older iPhone, (not 3G).

If I look at the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone, I see "General Motors" as being Paired. And of course Bluetooth is turned on.

I paired mine quickly in the Museums parking lot. Maybe there is a setting on the Vettes configuration that effects this.

I know I had the same problem, I looked in the manual and it said to hold the call button for two seconds to answer a call. After doing that, it has worked.

I know if you press and hold the call button and wait for the Vettes voice prompts you can say help.

You may want to up-pair and then re-pair the iPhone as well.

Let me know if I can try something for you guys.

I am also running 2.1 on an older iPhone. When I noticed the problem, I repaired the phone and reset the iPhone from the settings menu. Neither of these actions had any impact. I tried holding the button down to answer but the car just told me it was transferring the call. I found this morning that if I answer the call on the iPhone I can carry on a conversation using the car's speakers and microphone just as I would if the system worked as advertised. It looks like I'll use this approach until the next iPhone software update comes along that I hope will solve the problem..

I have the same problem with my 09 C6 with nav. First gen iPhone running 2.1. Can get the answer to work right after a phone reset, but the same problem - too short a push gets the audio mute, too long gets the transfter prompt thereafter. Works fine answering the call from the iPhone screen. Also tried it with a 3G iPhone - same problem. Another friend with a 09 C6 3G has reported the same problem - answer attempts repeatedly fail.

I got tired of screwing with the gm nav system and installed a Kenwood dnx8120 and it works great with my iphone. As soon a I get in the car it connects. When the phone rings a little telephone shows up on the touch screen. I can also make calls from the phone book on the screen. I can operate the nav while driving and even watch a dvd. The only thing I gave up was the turn arrows on the hud, but honestly I don't miss it.

I don't know why GM can't get this right.

It is the 2.1 iphone software. My friend has the same issue in his car with his phone and mine works fine in his car because i am still on 2.0.

I've have an iPhone 3G as well and have had the same intermittent problems. Turning the iPhone completely off (holding the button on top for a few seconds) and then turning the phone back on (which takes a few seconds as well) seems to get mine back and going.

I just had a technical person here from GM at the dealership. The problem lies in the 2.1 upgrade on the I phone. The 2.0 version works fine. Apple is aware of the problem and is working on the fix for the next upgrade.

Well, my bluetooth was working fine and now it is doing what is described here.

So I guess that gives credence to the version in the iPhone.

When I took in my pet rock (iPhone) for a different reason I unloaded on the tech about the issue with Bluetooth and he told me Apple was aware of the issue. In two months I am on my third pet rock and you think GM has issues the newest iPhone was rushed to the market, what a surprise

I installed iPhone firmware v2.2 today and it seems to have fixed the problem for me. I only tried a couple of calls. Calling out and answering incoming calls worked fine for me. So if you have having problems with answering incoming calls, get the new firmware.

Default iPhone-Bluetooth Problem

I have exactly the same problem; however, I do not have an iphone. I have a simple Samsung cell phone. I've tried my wife's cell phone which is the same as mine and it still does the same thing. I've re paired phones with blue tooth same results. Outgoing calls work great, incoming calls are transferred to cell phone. Any ideas are appreciated. 09 3LT with Nav Coupe

For what it's worth I have no Bluetooth issues with my '09, 3LT, no Nav working with a Motorola Razor.

Default iphone

I have the same exact problem. I just got an '09 z06, and have an iphone. When I get an incoming call I hit the talk button the steering wheel (I thried the 2 sec thing ) and cal just wont go through. I can make an outgoing call using the stored numbers on the vette. If I dial using the iphone the call wont transfer to the car. I call iphone support and they said it wasn't the phone. Anyone know how to fix this problem ?

So, has the issue with the '09 bluetooth sync and the latest Iphone been fixed yet? I am looking for a new phone, but am hesitant to get the Iphone if it won't sync well with the vette. It's a great feature and works well with my current T-Mobile Rzr phone.

Anyone have issues recently?

Its been fixed since late November. iPhone software v2.2 fixes the problem. I haven't had any issues since.
