Anyone have a good recommendation for a good carrier? Best price / quality of course.

Highly recommend SMS linked below. They shipped my vette from CT to CA in the winter for a great price enclosed and absolutely no damages or scratches.

InterCity Lines, Reliable and Exotic are the big ones you see all the time, like at Barrett-Jackson and various TV shows. They all have great reputations but I don't think any are cheap. Many members here have reported good experiences with Fed-X Transport Div. There have been very mixed reviews here about Thomas Sunday.

You can usually figure at least $1.00/mile for an enclosed transport.

Go with Sunday or FedEx Passport. I have used both (enclosed shipping only) and they have great prices and great service. Shipped from IL to CA and from CA to FL.

You can plan on a minimum distance charge. A lot of enclosed carriers will charge you at least $750 regardless of distance. At least that has been my experience trying to book an enclosed transport for my car from Bowling Green to Memphis (255 miles). three seperate carriers told me their minimum fee is was between $750-900.

I used exotic and was very pleased with them. Cost was about a dollar a mile.

i used DAS, dependable auto shippers, and had no problems. I didnt see the need for enclosed transport considering that the car wasn't going to be enclosed when I drive it anyway... I assume they are not enclosed form factory to dealership either.

I've used Intercity in the past. The driver who picks it up delivers it to you on the other end. They use air-ride trailers and trucks all have GPS.
Intercity is a Barrett Jackson sponsor and moves a lot of show and auction cars.

While some members have been happy with DAS many more have
had problems. Try a search.

I don't think they are on here very often. IMO you should just call him.

I used Intercity Lines from the National Corvette Museum to Southern California. They have closed carriers and covered my 2010 Z06 with a cloth cover and a plastic sheet over that.
They offer excellent care and cautious handling of your big investment. $1.00 a mile is about right. Kind of pricey, but it was worth it to me.
