If anyone's adjusted their fogs from "underneath and thru the cowling" please let me know. Talk about the "needle in the haystack". Trying not to take the liners off again and doing it the way GM intended but it's hard trying to locate the hex heads. Plus it would be alot easier to adjust them at night, using that method.

I'm thinking of changing out the bulbs so I'll wait for a reply or two.

To change them out, you get in through the liners of course, and after you're in there the first time is when you could just adjust them (if needed). But you'd have to wait til night (obviously to see what the light's are doing) and that's a little more dificult. Best way would be to change them out and then at night, shine them on your garage door, get in thru the bottom cowling's entry and simply insert the hex wrench (xtra long on a rachet) and adjust them up or down (up in my case) and that's it. Trying to hit the hex head is another story. One of the guys who posted where I found some info said it that it was very tricky to locate the hex's. Amen to that.

. . . . The fogs are a bit more tricky....

The theory is the same, but where you adjust the not-so-defined beam to is up to you. I parked the car, facing a wall, 20' away, then adjusted the beam cutoff to about 1" above the fog bulb height (I think it was 13"). This might get in the eyes of a few oncoming cars, but it will be at a distance far enough away that it shouldn't be too bad.

You can do the actual adjustment with two different methods.

The 'easy' way would require an 8" or longer 6mm allen wrench -OR- a 6mm allen socket, a 6" extension, and a ratchet. A bit of luck would be nice also.

Look at the picture below to see where the access hole is. You need to stick the allen wrench straight up into that hole to hit the adjusting bolt that's just like the one for the headlights. It's about 7" above the hole in the bumper. Here's where the luck comes in, my passenger side was twisted about 45* towards the center of the car, so I had to use method #2 to adjust it.

The 'not-so-easy' way is:
-turn the front wheels inward for the side you want to adjust
-jack up that corner of the car (makes it much easier to remove the push pins)
-remove/loosen the front cover in the wheel well by removing most of the plastic push pins holding it on (pull/pry straight out on the center piece, once it pops out the entire pin can be removed)
-lower the jack
-reach down to the adjusting bolt and adjust the fog light to your desired height (NOTE: on my car the fog light adjusting bolt spun around relatively easily, so if you couldn't use the 'easy' method because it wasn't pointed straight down, you can now twist it downward)
-reinstall the panel and pins
-go for a well illuminated drive
