Call me silly, but I just love walking up to my car and seeing how nice it sits on its 285's. When I see a Z06 those 325s look even better! How wide can I go on the back even if it requires wider wheels without them sticking out or requiring flares?

You know what's even cooler than 325's on a Z?

My street wheels are CCW SP16A wheels, 9.5” x 18” front - 11” x 19” rear with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar EMT’s...275/35ZR18 front - 325/30ZR19 rear...stock Z06 tires. They fit, look and work just fine. They're a vast improvement over the stock C6 wheels and tires.

Thanks for your help. Many searches resulted in finding they would not fit or stick out. Now someone who was slightly more helpful posted pics for me.

Why does everyone always assume people don't do a search? Do you have to start each post with 'already did a search, need more help'?

I as wondering the same thing about tires. I don't know anything about tires and wheels but I know how I want it to look. Do I have to put a widebody kit on to have really deep lip rims in the back? Also,,why does everyone seem to be concerned about whether or not the tires stick out?

Thanks,
Phillip

CCW has wheels with an offset that will let you run 325's on the rear, although they will stick out about 1/8" it's not noticeable

Depends on the tire. Check the manufacturer's specs.

What is the offset on the CCWs? I have Ace wheels a.k.a Z07 wheels that I bought from Corvette Garage but they recommended 305 rear and 265 fronts. Yet we have the same sizes on the wheels front and back but not sure on the offsets though. i wonder if I'd go 325 in the rear w/o sticking out?

F or those that have added new wider tires to their c-6s how is the road noise? better/worse, handling in dry and wet and is tire wear the same or better? Love the wide stance, I only have 7k on mine but I keep on looking for good/future ideas.

Thanks

Phillip, it is a safety issue as the fender in a hard turn will hit the tire and can cause a blow out or crack the fender.

For the largest size tires for the factory wheels, I would say staying in the safety zone 255x35 fronts and 295x30 rear, however members have reported using 305's in the rear. If in doubt contact tire rack a forum sponsor and they can answer all of your tire questions.
