Default Possibly the BEST thread for 2009

OK guys, let's try to help out our fellow C6 members that have run into some hard times regarding employment.

If you have any openings (present or future) at your place of employment, let's post them here and help these guys out.

Here is the first posting:
I think we are going to have "a few" sales openings in early 2009. These sales positions will be "Home" based and the applicant could live anywhere in the US. - each "Rep" will probably cover a single state (or portion).

The positions will consist of selling our Management Training Software to companies in the U.S. - I am sure of the first 3 requirements:
1. 5-10 years Sales experience
2. Bachelors Degree
3. Very computer literate
4. Teaching experience would be a real PLUS

If you have any interest, do not contact me using this forum, email me direct at gleazenby@comcast.net and please do not forget to include a copy of your resume.

Sending out resumes is a numbers game - nothing ventured - nothing gained. Give me a chance to help.

I hope I am able to find employment for a fellow Corvette enthusiast that has lost his job.

Well...here's a few for the engineering types:

I work for a civil engineering firm that specializes in airport design & planning. I know they are currently looking for a qualified PE with strong project management and airport engineering experience to lead our Cleveland/Rocky River, OH office.

We also have an opening for a project manager, again someone with a PE and preferably with aviation experience, I'm sure. This position would be in a new office opening in New Mexico in January. Our business is pretty strong, and we're actually expanding, due to a quickly growing number of new clients in the SW region.

Lastly, I think (not sure) that they may also be looking for a project manager for our Little Rock, AR office as well.

It's a pretty cool company with a strong workload across several offices...probably around 80 employees currently. Fun place to work most of the time, especially if you are into aviation. Several company planes available too if you are a pilot. I've been there for almost 10 years as a CAD technician and now CAD Manager (We use AutoCAD and Civil3D). An example of how they treat us? They are taking the whole company on a 4-day cruise to Cozumel in February to celebrate our 30th anniversary. In my 10 years with them, this will be the third such trip they taken us on.

Shoot me a PM if you think you're interested, and I'll put you in touch with the right folks!

Citi Group called me yesterday they were checking out a reference on someone. The H R perosn told me they were starting a a new division around the country and were looking foe people with good attitudes and sales experience to work leads they generated. New program has something to do with the current economic times and they are targeting customers that may be needing assistance with financial planning.

I have a great, somewhat 'recession-proof' job, but I am curious what this job entails. Your description is very vague. It reads like a great sales opportunity and a get-rich-quick scheme at the same time.

otherwise...great thread
