Default Corsa extreme with and without x-pipe

I purchased Corsa Extremes last November for my 07 Vette 6man. When I first installed them I hated the popping on decel and actually had them removed. At that time I had the factory H-pipe. This weekend I installed the Corsa X-pipe and reinstalled the Extremes. To my suprise almost all of the popping was gone except under hard decleration. In my opinion the cost of the X-pipe was well worth the money. The sound is very smooth and if you are somewhat careful with downgearing to a stop the popping is so low it is mostly not noticed. Hell even my wife like them. Just wanted to let those few vette ownes that don't like popping exhaust the X-pipe really helps. I know don't buy if your going to buy headers.

Had exactly the same experience. Put the "Extremes" on with stock "H" pipe and did not like the sound. Added the "X" pipe and everything was great again!

The engineers at Corsa told me the same thing about using an X-pipe with the Xtremes.

BTW,...adding headers makes the Xtremes sound awesome!

Why did you say not to buy if you are getting headers? Is it so that i can keep a good relationship with my wife and neighbors, or will i be losing HP?

I am seriously considering adding the a corsa, but i cannot make up my mind between the xtreme and the sport.

If your planning on getting headers the headers should come with there on x-pipe and you would be just throwing money away if you get the Corsa x-pipe and then add headers.

The Extremes are just right for me with out headers I like my warranty.
Before you guys jump in and say my dealers will accept headers under warranty my dealed said noway.

No. I like it even with my lowly NPP. (and liked it even more with my all-stock '66 small block)
