Default MGW Shifter - will any stock **** fit?

I've just ordered a lot of stuff from DS Vettes, including a shift ****. What they need to know is if the 2009+ style shifter **** will fit the MGW shifter just like the stock 2007 **** does now. Can anyone help?

MGW has an adapter kit for the new style factory **** that isn't threaded. It's on MGW's web site.

The C6 type shaft should work with all 2005-2013 ***** I think. The difference is not in how they mount to the shaft but rather that the 2008's and up have the twist ring the boot is attached too and it's not just placed up against the ****. If they are different it's because GM moved the screw location.
