Summer tires in sunny clear winter days
#21
Melting Slicks
Until this winter the answer would be "no", but Pirelli has now released their non-runflat Sottozero winter tires in standard C6 sizes. These are true winter tires (similar to Bridgestone Blizzaks) whose tread remains soft and maintains its grip at temps well below freezing. They're available from Tire Rack for about $1,086, front & rear, plus shipping.
For best results, you'll also need another set of C6 wheels and TPM sensors because your OEM runflats won't tolerate being dismounted and remounted very well.

as a Certified technician i can tell you that its not so much the tires your running as the air you got in them.
I run "summer air" right up until November first and put the "winter air" in. Then april first i change it out to "summer air" and all is good again. Hope that helps.
