Someone hit my vette on the freeway
I was cruising donw the I-8 W and decided to change lanes, looked back made sure no one was conming turned on my signal and checked that lane was open and it was so I started to change lanes when all the shudden someone hit the back left corner of my vette causing me to spin out of control. When I thought I had control I hit the center barrier with my back left tire causing alignment to be a little messed up. Here are pics of the result of the collision:

I'm thinking the car that hit you was in your blind spot... it couldn't have just gotten there from 100 yards back ??
Hope the damage ain't too bad...

Sorry to hear that! I'll bet some fool saw your signal and jumped into the lane just before you moved over. Its almost impossable to drive safely these days with all the amature racers on the road.
OH! I almost forgot.............no pictures.

"In honor of jpee"
good that you're posting. looks not good at all. there is a blind spot on the left (in many cars, not just the Vette), but it's usually when getting on a highway. the angle of the mirror doesn't always allow you to see who's right there unless I physically turn my head and look, plus use the mirror. that doesn't seem to be your case tho. someone must have come from the other lane, one over.

You know what the problem was? You didn't finish all of that "smart" water before you got on the highway - jk..

Blind spot
Unfortunately it looks like you might have missed the other vehicle in your blind spot. Odd they didn't stop, may have not had a license or weren't supposed to be driving. Don't be surprised if they turn in an accident report to the police if their car was damaged.
I found that if you set your mirrows so that you just loose sight of your vehicles side in the mirrow, the blind spot is at a minimum.
Try it and then observe a vehicle coming up beside you on a double lane street. They should just enter your periferal vision as they disappear on your side mirrow.
Glad your not hurt.

I know just trying to brighten you up with a joke. Hope everything is ok and your car gets back on the road soon.
