That is one of the UGLIEST custom paint jobs I've ever seen. For that price without a doubt, I'd go for a new ZO6. That's just ridiculous beyond words to ask that kind of money for something this ugly.

It wasn't the artist's fault for the paint job. I think the actual "art" in the paint job is fantastic but just not the way it is applied to this car. With Tony Stewart's name it pretty much had to be an orange car.

It looks like a 1LT with a few mods. Owner is way off thinking he can get $77k but you never know there might be an idiot Tony Stewart fan around.

I wouldn't pay more than a 2008 1LT though, maybe on the high end of price range so you are probably looking at $30-35k, probably less since the powertrain warranty is toast. C5 logo wheels is a real turnoff.

The STS kit is amazing. I know one member here has it, another Corvette forum owner uses it and that car was on Supercars Exposed. He did the smart thing and modified the engine a bit though instead of just changing the spark plugs.

I have the show on TV though and my 4 year old likes to watch it once in awhile.

Heres my question... Would that exhaust system pass emissions?

If the cats and O2 sensors are there (which they are not bothered during the STS installation) I can't see why not unless you are in a state that requires mufflers.

ABOSOLUTELY! I would rather be seen in a PT Cruiser (and I hate PT Cruisers) than this thing. I could have done a better job on the "smoke" with a rattle can. The orange paint is beautiful just the way it comes from the factory. To junk it up like that should be a felony offense.

If I bought it, I'd have to get it resprayed.

I see all these Turbo/SC Corvette's being built claiming they are faster than a Z06/ZR1 for pennies on the dollar yet no track times posted to back up these claims.

I attended a HSDE at RA in 07 and we had a new GT500 in my group, by lap 4 he was toast. Heavy "heat soak - his words" and high temp warnings. He slowed considerably to coool off his motor and brakes and barley finished the 7 lap session.

I'd hate to spend that kind of money on a car that is only good for short bursts of power or impressive DYNO numbers yet can't take the heat on the track yet claiming they are faster than a Z06/ZR1. Buyer beware.

Tom

Why is it so many people out there think that simply boosting an LS3 to over 600hp and adding bigger brakes makes a C6 a ZR1 or even a Z06 for that matter? There's a lot more to performance than raw horsepower, weight for instance.

That has got to be one of the most bizarre turbo systems (turbos at the rear off the exhaust) I've ever seen. Can't imagine the rattle possibilites. And I agree, that is one fugly color combination - Stacey should have left the paint alone, not to mention the wheel/tire choice. Oh well, to each his own.

You guys just expect to much. I watched the show an think its a great job for a car that was built in a half hour, commercial breaks included.
