Default 123 LT questions?

I am a 13 year painter turned used Car salesman. I would like to know what options come with the 1LT, 2LT,3LT cars. I would like to know what a z-51 package is also what is a 1sb? and any other things you can think of. I see an option for Magnetic ride control what is that and how can you tell if your vette has it. Thanks in advance

I suggest you be like the rest of us and do some research yourself. Then when you have a specific question on something come back and ask it.

Z51 package is avail on the 05-09 base vette. Its about a$1,400 option when new. It adds:

Stiffer springs, shocks, and thicker sway bars.
Shorter gear ratios
Engine oil cooler
Larger drilled rotors
Stickier tires GY F1 Supercar

You can't get the magnetic ride if you have the Z51 package. Its either or.
Magnetic ride cars have the round switch on the console by the shifter.

In short its a magnetic selective ride also known as F55. The easiest way to tell if the car has it is it will have a button on the console that lets you select your ride from tour or sport. Here is a post that explains how it works better than I can tell you.

Also I would suggest the search function on the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge on here at your finger tips.

1SB is the option package on the 2005 model year cars only that was approximately equivalent to the current 3LT option package.

Here's a link to what was in the different option packages for the model year 2005 C6s.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1572160546-post3.html

Option packages 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT for model years 2006 through 2012 vary from model year to model year. I do not have a link to a thread that shows what they are. A GM website might show you.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the Grand Sport with F55 have both. I was under the impression that the standard suspension on the GS is the Z51.

Go to a book store and purchase the Corvette Black Book. It will tell you what every RPO is for every year Corvette. You can also go to the Chevrolet web site and look at the features and specs for a Corvette. It tells you the options available and the packages.

He is right about that ... Example:

The optional HUD and Nav package is standard equipment on the 2012 Grand Sport 2LT models, but is not on the 2011 GS model cars (comes on the 3LT and 4LT)

Seems every year they change slightly what's standard on each of the various Equipment Groups (1LT, 2LT, 3LT, 4LT)

They print a new one every year to include all years to the present. 2 pages of info. for each year containing options, prices, and info. about that model year. Pictures of every model for every model year in the back. 150+ pages for only about $20. I think several vendors including the Corvette Museum sell it.

GS is a model, Z51 is an option on the base up to 09 model year. They are two separate things. The GS have the Z51 goodies plus the Z06 brakes. But yes, there is the F55 option on the GS.

Here is a good source for info on the options and packages.

You have to drill down to the pricing, then options & packages.
Then it will show you details. This example is a 08 Coupe.
If you click the New or Used at the top left, you can start a new search.

http://www.automobilemag.com/am/99/2...s_options.html

Go to manufacturer website, download the new car brochures.

Google is your friend. Also, as others said, try searching the forum. There is a wealth of info out here.
