Default No Mention of Corvette At NAIAS

I wonder why there's no mention of America's favorite Sports Car at the Detroit auto show. True, that there's no giant change this year, but last year's and the year before are still enough to deem the Vette as the most terriffic of all.
I've found that even people that buy sensibly for family reasons, or can't afford a Corvette, or prefer foreign things still hold the Corvette out as the car most able to raise blood pressure.

I think because this year the big 3 are pushing their so called gas efficient cars and even though the Vette gets great gas mileage it’s not considered a fuel efficient car

Not much to mention, no major changes not selling very well, I think GM has other priorities in the direction of marketing.

I agree. Now is not the political climate to be prominently featuring the Corvette. Those of us who are enthusiasts know that it's nothing to be ashamed of - far from it, it gets better mileage than many lesser cars (and let's admit it, they're ALL "lesser cars"). In spite of that, the great unwashed public doesn't see a Corvette that way.

A GM display featuring the Corvette would have been universally castigated in the news.

There is a ZR1 on display at the show, right in front of the Camaro's.

Perhaps because this is the car of the future, not the Corvette?:
