Thats funny.

Oh no, the dreaded "how much do they weigh" question!

On average, reproductions are 2-3lbs heavier than stock. NOTHING a regular guy will notice.
I drive on aftermarket wheels that are heavier than stock, always have. No difference in driveability.

Now, I do understand if you are a professional driver-racer, reducing weight / rolling mass is important.
If that is the case, I would consider custom racing wheels.

Also note, runflats are on average 2lbs heavier than non-runflats.

Thank you,

Nate

8lbs of rotational mass on wheels is similar to adding 80lbs of dead weight in terms of acceleration, or like losing 8rwhp. The difference is there.

Ok, will include a free K&N drop in replacement air filter with wheel purchase to make up the 8hp loss!

The fact is reproductions are for good looks, and are affordable.
Racing wheels are for racing, and usually cost substantially more.

No argument rolling mass makes a difference if racing, and if that is the case, the lightest and strongest wheel should be used.

Thanks,

Nate

Recently did a couple of wheel and tire packages with the R1 wheels, but custom chromed and custom satin black.

Not too shabby!

Does special order cost more? Do you have any gloss black pics, and do they come with matching center caps and logo?

Thanks.

Hyperblack is the only standard color for this wheel.

Other powdercoat colors are available for an additional 350.00, chrome is 650.00 additional.

Will look for pics of the gloss black.
Centercaps are painted to match, wheels come with C6 logo decals.

Thanks,

Nate

Wow! Those gloss black ones look great. Hopefully the owner can send a pic of them on the car. I have a few different wheels I'm considering. That pic is helping me get closer to a final decision. Could you PM me a total on some gloss black shipped to Cedar Park, TX. 78613?

Thanks!

We have some GM caps that look good with the wheels depending on the R1 finish.

GM caps are extra cost (roughly 50-75.00 per set), not included in sales price.

Thanks,

Nate
