Default Corvette Pilot ZR1 Blue Calipers & CCW 505a On Cyber Gray Coupe

Last night I got to install my ZR1 Blue Calipers from Mike and they are really top shelf in quality. I had one small glitch as I had a base C6 setup, not the almighty Z51 package from the factory. Well Mike accidently sent me the calipers and brackets to a Z51 setup, I noticed this and called up Mike and he offered to over night me the correct brackets to not hold up my install. However, this gave me an opening to upgrade my setup to Z51 rotors and I asked Mike if he would give me time to order from GM the Z51 rotors and he said no problem and he would work with me on the timing of the core. Wow, that is really awesome vendor support, not always what I have received lately as I have been rapidly modding the wife's C6. The rotors came in Monday and the Hawk Cermaic Brake pads and Chrome Covers on the Rotors from West Coast came in yesterday so my mechanic said come on out and lets get this done He also took care of a drivers door alignment issue that came up in the cold weather, my door touched the fendor, so when on the lift he fixed that issue and even did the passenger side to get it perfect Also found time to get rid of the fugly stock air box and install the Air Raid I got off the forum and onto some pictures.

Before with stock rotors and CCWs

Shots of the new bling

One of Arnold (GotJuice?) my C5 & C6 expert mechanic and good friend

One of me, I was allowed to clean the wheel wells, rims, and put dressing on the tires

Some of the install and so easy for this to be done on the lift

One of the Hawk Brake Pads and Air Raid

This afternoon after the wife drove her Vette to work to show off her new bling she brought me our toy to my office as she need the truck to haul around some of the family to the doctor and did not have enough seats, so I got the Vette and here are some shots with lots of sunshine to show off the Metallic of Cyber Gray and those awesome blue calipers

One of the front bumper flag and you can see the Metallic showing up, but not like in person

Yes that is the AirRaid intake and took all of 15 minutes to install and I sure like the look better than the airbox they put on the 08-09s and the wife never even noticed any noise difference when she drove it today, so you know she does not really hammer away, it only makes a little more noise over stock at normal accerlation and a tad over that when under full throttle, but then my hearing is an old man's one from working on Airplanes in the military

All looks very nice and I have seen that blue-flaked Cyber in the bright sunshine. Very unusual look up close but works very well.

Seems to be a popular color for 09 and I really like CG for a DD

Thanks and with my POS camera it is hard even in good sunshine to show all the blue-flake and silve-flakes that are in Cyber Gray, I need Z06 Jims camera or one of those that FLATOUT uses for his posters

Steve, thanks as I recall you are one of the first to do the caliper mod, I was busy with saving for those CCWs first and lots of the other mods I did first, almost done now, just got lots of CF planned for the interior and a little more under the hood and I am done, that is good my C5 is feeling left out as I got mods sitting in the garage to go on

Mike, I really appreciate the option you gave me and that you were ready to correct the wrong shipment immediately, I wish all the vendors I have been getting my mods from are like you and most are Not everyday I get free brackets that are powedered coated and all I have to do is spend another $335 and I have Z51 rotors

Calipers look great with the CG and CCW's

I will be ordering a set done in AO this spring from Mike.

I have seen his work on some of my friends Vettes and the quality is top shelf.
