I'm mystified on what one gets for the extra cost and logistics of picking up a car at the Museum. Yes can see earlier Vettes and can tour the factory, and delivery by someone who knows the car. But what else?

Am used to BMW Performance Delivery (2 cars since '06). No cost other than getting there. Put up by BMW at a Marriott, free dinner and breakfast, driver and van to the PDC. About 2 hours with a BMW instructor on the track doing slalom, emergency breaking, wet skid pad - in same model car as taking delivery of. Lunch. Factory tour if open for visitors. Delivery by an expert.

From what I've been able to glean, the Corvette Museum is a lot less than this. Am I wrong? (Hey, serious question. Spouse wants to do this this summer and I can't quite figure out why I'd want to, especially both of us having already seen a modern auto factory at Spartanburg.)

I'll be traveling through Bowling Green soon and I'll have to stop and take a look. Maybe when this economy recovers I can do Museum Delivery!
