Default Better option: vettespare or fix-a-flat/compressor?

Those of us not running a run flat or roadside assistance option. Your preference between these 2 options.

$1,000 seems like a pretty steep price to pay for a spare tire never mind using up all your trunk space.

How about the option of neither of the above? $950 buys a lot of cellphone minutes and flatbed tows. It's been over 10 years and more than 100,000 miles since I had a flat more than a slow leak that I could still drive to a shop. On the other hand, I will just keep runflats on the car and not worry about it.

Vette Spare, I have one and it has saved me from having to leave my Corvette on the side of the road. There was no cell phone service and a side wall puncture. Worked great.

In all my years driving excluding my TEEN years I haven't had a tire issue that a small compressor couldnt or didn't handle. Now with run-flats I hope to continue my good luck.. Fix-a-flat and small compressor should do you

I carry a can of fix-a-flat and small compressor in the rear cubby. Never know when you will get stuck out in BFE and gotta get yourself out of a jam. Sure the tire goo might mess up the tire and TPMS but I'd just deal with it. If you own a vette, you can afford the tires/ sensors etc...

If I didn't have RF tires. I would carry a bottle of Slime and an air compressor for the cigarette lighter in the back cubby.

I'd hate to be the guy that ends up changing that tire!

I do have runflats, and still carry a compressor/slime/plug kit.

Because I have them, I'll never need 'em.
