My first car at 16 my parents bought me an '81 vette cuz I bugged the hell out of them. I respected the car & kept it for 8yrs & put less then 30,000 miles on it traded it on a 1995 vette in 1997. I modded the crap out of that one sold it in 2002 bought a project '69 camaro which I never finished. Recently bought my keeper a '06 ZO6

"I voluntarily took 60 days off from OT"
Bought my first Vette (99 Coupe) in January 2001 after I sold my beloved IROC-Z Camaro....(owned it for 11 years)
The Camaro..
The "first" Vette..(I still have it)
Bought my next Vette November 2002 after I paid off the Coupe....leftover new 2002 Convertible..$8K off MSRP and 0% 48 month financing
Bought my leftover new LS2 Vette "pick-up" in December 2006 after I paid off the silver Convertible....$15K off MSRP
Feb 2008, sold the silver 2002 convertible and bought a triple black 99 Convertible for $10K less...
That $10K windfall and $15K off MSRP made buying my C6Z the same month much less painful
The "boys" pose for a pic

I have lusted after a Vette since I first laid eyes on a black '63 split window when I was about 14... and got my first drive in one when a friend (you are no longer with us, but thanks again Ed.) loaned me his '68 roadster to take a girl out on a date......
I have had my first Vette, '05 coupe, since Aug 05, currently have 71k miles on the odometer and look forward to many more miles...

I went shopping for a Corvette in 1975. They were junk. I thought they handled like a cow on ice and solid steel tires might have been a smoother ride. 10 years later I was looking for another Camero. Salesman insisted I test a Corvette. I kept telling him I had no interest because they were great looking but I knew they were terrible cars to drive. He insisted and 10 miles later I was in love. I kept that '85 until the repair costs just got too high. I didn't even have to sit in a C6 before I bought one.

I've had a '54 since '67.

I had two C3's for about 6 months each and none until my 2008 which I have had now for a year. Both C3's had major quality issues that kept me away from Vettes for all these years. Happy to say the 2008 is pure heaven to own and drive.

My first was a C3, which I purchased new and still own , my second was a C5, that I unfortunately totaled , and now my C6.
