My first Corvette was bought in Feb. 2000. It was a black 97 and I loved it. My son now owns it.




This is my current ride, a 2005 coupe which I also like very much. It is much improved over the 97 in both comfort and performance. I still get to visit my old car occasionally. He lives in Iowa and I'm in Alabama.

First one was a Red '64 C-2 vert. Have had about 19 more over the years. Wish I had that '64 back.

My first was a 1972 I bought when I was in my 20s. My current 2006 is the one I've owned the longest - 10 years in a couple months; cumulatively, I've owned them for over 20 years.

1st - '72 red coupe
2nd - '82 black coupe, 2 year project/fully restored to original
3rd - '86 red coupe
4th - '87 black Callaway Twin Turbo coupe
5th - '06 DSOM coupe

My first is the 2007 C6 I just bought in October of last year. Not sure how long I'll keep it, but I'm pretty happy so far.

I've wanted a vette since I was 5 yrs old. My neighbor owned a 1961 and would stop by to see if I wanted a ride. Of course, you know my answer to that question.

First Vette at the age of 23 was:

#2 1992 Triple White convertible/6sp 1997-2014 17 yrs sold
#3 1997 Coupe 6sp 2002-current
#4 1994 ZR-1 6sp Admiral Blue/Blk 2008-current
#5 1966 Triple white 4sp 427/450hp 2009-2011 2yrs sold

One or more Covette's in the garage for the last 26 years. Life is indeed good.

Got it new in 1980 still have it today and will keep it until i am no longer on this planet.Ive had other cars that have come and gone with the wind..

I bought a 89 C4 brand new also with the new for that year ZF 6 speed, Z51 suspension adjustable suspension, kept it for 10 years. Surely miss it in general but not that quick ratio steering ( at very high speed it was hairy) and the suspension even in touring mode made me avoid certain streets. I remember thinking, oh wow, 245 horse power an 17 inch wheels! Those were big then. Now own a 11 GS fully loaded also bought new.

79 C3 coupe kept it until 89
89 C4 Coupe until 99
I cried and had a serious withdrawal syndrome for the next 12 years and my therapist suggested another one so 2011 GS In 2011. She has regretted her suggestion as she no longer makes any money on me. GS is staying until the end.

65 Coupe

C2: '65 Blue Coupe, 350HP, 4 SP, PW, PS, AC, still own it after 46 years

My first Corvette was a '69 427 L36 with M21 4 speed and 3.36 gears. Numbers matching, no P.O. mods, untampered down to the air pump and manifolds. I owned the car for 7 years.
I've had my current '09 for just under a year.
Loved them both for different reasons. The '69 was a head turner and the beauty queen at most of the shows I took it to. The '09 is just a ballsy ride. Scary quick.
