I did. Who cares what other people think. Your young enjoy your ride man. Youll have plenty of time to be an old fart who babies his car and drives it ten miles a week later on in your life when your heart cant handle the real performance of your vette.

ahhh, to be young again, where you think you are invincible (and your car too) until something terribly goes wrong, like busted rear, speeding ticket, etc.
I learned my lesson the hardway. when I was your age, I had a brand new S2000 and had so much fun until "my lesson" 2 years later...
so, hope nothing bad happens.
before i replace my tires, i used the balding OEM GY SC for some donut action on my 07 auto. that was more fun (with traction off). try that next, plenty of tire smoke...

I meant about doing burnouts. Why burn up your tires and risk blowing up the rear differential just to show off? Just my opinion.

And I don't baby my car. I race on road courses. IMO burnouts are things kids do, hence my statement. But again, just my opinion, so burn away.
