GM Exterior and Interior Canned Spray Paint
I'm looking to paint my steering wheel spoke caps and emergency brake button the same color as the ashtray and HVAC/radio bezel. Also, I was thinking about painting my FRC and Battery cover Velocity Yellow using pre-mixed spray can paint from http://www.paintscratch.com/ . Has anyone tried it? Also, my interior is, i'm guessing ebony? but the site list two interior colors black and ebony. Any idea which one I need?
Thanks

I went to an auto paint supply store and had then mix the correct exterior color and put it in an aerosol can. I also purchased aerosol primer and clear coat. Used it to paint my engine covers and it worked fine. Certain they will have the code for what ever paint you need.

I just went to my local Chevy Dealer and picked up a can of exterior paint, they had it on the shelf. I'm not sure if you'll find the interior paint so easy, it might have to be "matched"...can't say that for a fact though, maybe they have that too.

I just painted my intake cover, radiator overflow tank and battery cover. Others on CF suggest using adhesion promoter for plastic, I used Dupli-Color, http://www.duplicolor.com/products/adhesion.html
I also used their filler primer to get a smooth look. Sanded with 220 followed by 400. Several coats of primer sanding with 800 between, followed by paint and several coats of clear.

I did the same thing with my fuel rail covers. I didn't want the gloss look, I prefer a more "flat" finish. Still came out very well.
I need to do the other items I have in mind.
