I finally jumped the shark and bought a 2005 C6. It's white, in excellent condition and has 73k miles on it. Aftermarket intake. What a wild ride. Even with traction control,on, this thing will get away from you! I'm so happy and the wife is to! I'll have pics as soon as we wash/wax it!
I've read these forums to understand the ins/outs of this ride and am happy to take pointers! Time to setup a track day!

Default To K&N or not K&N

i do not plan to do any cold intake up grades any time soon.so does switching over to K&N filters make any difference at all. or should i just save my money for something else....

You will get a variety of opinions on the K&N air filter. K&N claims a minimal horsepower increase, but I have never been able to feel any in the seat-of-the-pants meter. I do put K&N air filters in everything we own and have never had a problem. I clean and re-oil them once a year.

I don't think that's the expression you seek.

So...I only have one pic for now. Sad to say, I didn't notice it yesterday when I purchased the vette, but today it was very clear...harmonic balance is shot. It's wobbling hella bad. On a good note, I have a local mechanic who's done this delicate but pain in the *** operation before (much cheaper labor than dealership) and the dealer that I purchased it from offered a 1000 miles 50/50 warranty and is holding up his end.
I should have the car back by next weekend and get her cleaned up for better pics!

My lovely wife!

On a different note, I can't believe how many people were staring at me driving around today with the targa top off! This car gets looks from EVERYONE!! Loved it! My wife is going to get hit on constantly driving this car around.

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum !!

Too bad about the harmonic balancer, but this problem seems to be somewhat chronic with certain LS-series engines (so I've heard !!) You, however, seem to have the problem well under control !!

Good luck with that pretty "vette !!"

Gary
