Default Mufflers are for sissies (24hrs with BB Bullets)

Ok. As many of you know I have been quite conflicted for some time concerning exhaust selection. We all know sound is subjective, so a system that sounds great to one cf member might sound awful or annoying to another. The youtube exhaust clips offer nothing but sound distortion, especially for the louder kits and my laptop speakers do not help the situation.

I finally decided to get the loudest, and if I hated it I would just sell it and get the next step down (the stingers). I recieved great service from Corvettes of Houston and a great price (cheaper than anywhere else).

I was quite anxious to start it up for the first time. Damn it was loud Not bad loud, but a very deep, burbling, rumbling, three harleys at a stoplight loud. I could not believe that sound came from a stock header/cat/cam c6. It sounds like a 454 with a 264/274 cam and open headers.

I loved it, but I still was concerned. Would this get tiresome, especially on the weekdays during commute? I can't answer that yet, but to say this car gets attention is a drastic understatement. Being a red C6, I'm already accustomed to it, but this exhaust took that to a whole other level.

I've already compared it in person to a borla and a corsa. People who say their NPP with it open or their Corsa Sports sound strong and powerful really have no idea (not to **** off half the people on here)
next to this even the borla sounds like a 4 banger Camry.

The most amazing part is that cruising on the freeway doesn't drone at all! You can hear a low, deep pitch but I wouldn't consider it droning, perhaps some would. You can still use the Bose system and still converse with the wife (not sure if that is a plus). The only time it really drones is 1500-1900rpm going up hills and I found the only thing you can do is downshift.

So this exhaust isn't for everyone, but if you want your car to sound badass; accept no substitute. I'd post a video but they don't do it justice just like every other one I have heard online.

Any idea if there is a link to an audio clip of this system?

I just got done installing my B&B bullets, with AR headers. Man, it's a different animal! This combination is NOT for the weak, but I love the sound it makes when you really get on it.

I'm not gonna lie, they will hate it, unless they're gearheads like my cool next door neighbor.

BTW, the sound at WOT at high rpms is more than incredible. I'd say that's the best part.

Nice! I'd like to hear how they compare to cutouts... QTP has a clip on their site, but I'd like to see a drive off video for comparison.

Hey Kevin, glad you like that exhaust. They are very robust. I've only heard one C6 with this system and it is something. As for the attention, hope your drivers license can withstand that.

Enjoy!!

Do you like a loud exhaust because you like to listen to it, or because you want everyone else to listen to it?

I'd say both, but it is more important for me to enjoy it. I find the sound of a sports car to be an important part of the driving experience

Yes! I too enjoyed the service at Corvettes of Houston, was just there saturday morning, love the service and again just a great bunch of guys.
I was there a few weeks ago to install my new DSVette upgrades and the parts guy talked me into a set of B&B Fusions the sound is awesome but everyone has a different taste in sound, guess to best way to decide what you want is to hear it in person, maybe at a car show or something. The Fusion's work perfect for me, click of a button and yeap thats a Sports Car

You have a lot in common with a friend of mine. You both had B&B on for 24 hours. In his case just 24 hours. The next day he switched back to stock, and eventually Corsa Sports. I lasted a bit longer about 5 months and switched to Corsa. The drone was killing me!

If mufflers are for sissies, I'm a sissy. I listened to drone for a year before I went back to stock.

24 hours with bullets, you're still in the honeymoon phase! Tell us if you still love after 6 mos. Every cop dropping his donut and spinning his head towards your still unseen car, headaches from drone on long trips, having to scream to have a conversation, not hearing that song you love... Not saying you wont still like em but speaking from exp( welded straight pipes in 5.0 years ago) but maybe not as much as you do now. Enjoy!
