Recieved these caliper covers about a week ago after waiting a month to receive them. Spent an entire Saturday trying to install them. No mater how I ajusted the "patended" brackets, they (the brackets) rub against the rotors and make a terrible grinding noise. My feeler gauge indicated virtually no clearance left after installation between the rotors and the calipers. Obviously, this accounts for the grinding noises. The low resolution photos that came with the very brief instructions are difficult to make out and and clearly do not show the Z51 brakes or account for the very low clearance of such. I removed, swaped, and adjusted the covers repeatedly with no improvement. Can't say I recomend this product and I will be returning them.

Sorry about your problems with the product, but I have spent thousands with Josh at RPI and he always takes care of me. You probably should contact him. He'll make it right. Hopefully you attempted that before the comment was posted. Just my opinion.

I don't think it's RPI's fault. Rather MGP. The extremely small amount of clearance between the rotors and calipers on the C6 Z51 just doesn't allow the clips to go on without rubbing the rotors. I must have bent those clips every which way to try to prevent their rubbing to no avail. Even when I could get clearance on the top or bottom, as soon as I tighten down the other clip it pulls the other into contact with the rotor. A shame really, b/c I think they look good from 5 feet or so. Any closer and you can clearly see it's only a cover. Plus, they are fairly easy to put on or take off.

I have a Z51 and I put a set on with no problem. At first there was a very little bit of rubbing, but after driving a short distance the "little' noise was gone. I'm sure it just rubbed off enough to stop the contact to the rotors. As for "the look"... very clean, much better than cheap looking paint. I have had mine on for about a month now and they stay very clean. Just spray them with water and they shine behind the wheel! It was a pain trying to keep the painted calipers clean! For the money, they look very nice! Besides the clean, shinny look, they look much better than the little red calipers I had before. Now if I could afford the real thing (Z06 brakes)??? Thanks RPI, for another nice affordable product!

I owned and installed caliper covers on my C4. They came red I had them powder coated a matching color. They do install easily, skill level one IMHO.

They do not reduce brake dust, they can act as a heat barrier in high temp applications such as HPDE Track events.

I liked mine, from a different sourse to be honest, but a go product if you want to increase the appearance.

how do these attach? I had a set of brake covers on another car, hit a bump going down the highway an one flew off so I had to remove the rest. don't think I wanna chance that again.

These attach with a patented U Clip system that attach to the caliper. Installation takes about 30 minutes.

I looked at these before I decided to paint mine. The rear covers look okay, but the fronts look too large. I painted mine for about $30.00, they have the Corvette raised lettering, which I like, and they still look great...they don't peel or fade, and the color match (red) was perfect. If I had to do it again, I would still paint them...easy and inexpensive.

How about updating the title of your 7 year old post! There is nothing "New" about this product.
