Well, I finally got around to modding part of my AVIC-F900BT that I've had since the day they released. sorry for the not so great quality (I will try and take better pictures later that is actually a blue/white compass behind my car) all I had with me was my camera phone....and yes that is an icon with my actual car on it and I added the CORVETTE (in Corvette Font) to the bottom of it....

OMG that awesome! I need that mod for my F700BT unit. How do I get this mod and install it?
Ahh, I see the program mod on AVIC411.com. Thanks for the heads up!

Lots of trouble with my unit. I have the black screen blues and I can't seem to fix it. I guess I'll have to send it back to Pioneer.
I look forward to doing this mod when I get it back though.

What is your email address? And I will send you the file. Also, you need to visit avic411.com and do a lot of reading before you jump into modding your AVIC unit. I don't mind walking you thru the steps it is very easy but you should be cautious, b/c 1 wrong move and you could have an unusable unit.
***ALSO, if anybody would be interested I could sell you a 2GB SD card for $25 via paypal (cover sd card cost) with all the appropriate files and detailed instructions on how to do this.*** I am NOT responsible for any damage to your unit, I will give you step by step instructions on how to get this done, it is up to you to make the decision to do it and to do it properly.

That looks awesome. It's too bad that there aren't any aftermarket head units like that that fill the opening. I hate the look of those bezels they make to adapt the head unit to the opening.

I've had a lot of cars and done a lot of stereo work and this has been the BEST FIT kit I've installed. A lot of the time the kits don't fit good, don't line up good, may be a gap on 1 side and not on the other....but there are so many different vehicles, with so many different size openings this would be virtually impossible for Pioneer (or whoever) to make a unit specifically for a car and not charge an arm/leg for the unit...

re
not to steal the thread but how do you guys with the 700+ series units like the bluetooth functionality? I think there was a firmware upgrade, but it seems there are still glitches with the units.
im thinking about the 700bt but am really curious about the bluetooth quality
