opinions on mods
have a 2008 base victory red which is completely stock looks wise with some minor bolt ons. was thinking about doing the chrome exhaust plate, chrome lettering for the corvette word in the rear and blackout kit for tail lights but was told that it was "ricey" i guess is the word im looking for. If anyone has an opinion on this or pictures of a victory red with those mods im looking forward to hearing from you

If you are not going to do engine mods and I am not saying you should, I would do interior type mods. Mats, console lid, shift boot, etc.

Here's the exhaust plate cover I bought. I don't have blackouts - I don't care for those much. This gives you some idea anyway. Most of my mods are interior and underhood cosmetic only. No performance related mods.

I like the contrasting letters (inserts or paint) in the rear. The other two I can take or leave.
Appearance mods are strictly a matter of taste, everyone is different.
The ones you have in mind are pretty benign and if you don't like them you can always change them back or try something else.
Enjoy your ride.

I would recommend the GM fender flares or protectors or whatever they are called. They protect your fender paint from road grit and tar.
GM now sells a set of four for a reasonable price. Back when I put them on the rear fenders of my '05, I bought ZO6 ones and altered them to fit. They look great and really help keep the rear fenders clean.
"Girl in a box" sells a great cup holder for a reasonable price. It folds down when not in use. Do a search for her on here. I think I paid around $20-25 but that has been four or five years ago.
If you like the convenience of being able to let your windows down before entering or up after exiting your car then a Window Valet is a must. I had one on my C5 and will order one soon for my C6. "Southern Auto Parts" on here sells them for a great price.
Another interior mod many do is the under the carpet sound insulation.
It helps cut down on the road noise from your run-flat tires. I also did that on my C-5 but have not done it yet on my C6. Madvettes sells those kits already pre-cut.
I just installed an NPP exhaust sytem with x-pipe from an '08 Corvette on my '05 and also installed a "Mild to Wild switch". My wife and I both love it. Loud pipes when you want them and quiet when you want quiet.
Good Luck with your mods!

Melting Slicks
my only advice would be to go one way or the other- black look or chrome look. either will help you stand out, but both is not the best way to go... something I need to fix myself...
