I know that my 2007 atomic orange is a base coat, tint coat, clear coat 3 stage paint. Is the paint they use at the factory lacquer, polyurthane, water based, etc...? Do they use a specific paint supplier like PPG or is it a GM product?

I would say it was water based. I used to work for the European branch of GM and they went over to water based back in 1995, but somebody else may know different.
