It's like this. Some people agree and some people disagree. Doing burnouts never in my cars. If I knew the previous owner was doing burnouts in a vette I was going to buy, then it would sit there longer. Fun to watch, but not for me. I plan on keeping nice as long as I can. NO RAIN!

I thought I smelled something in the air this morning. I think the jet stream just now carried the smell of burning clutches to mid Missouri.

I like to watch burnouts as much as the next guy but this one at a car show three years ago went bad.There was no persons hurt but a parked car and the C-5 was damaged.When I saw where this was going I decided to quit filming.

Burnout Competitions. How retarded. Right up there with fart pipe, neon encrusted, drifting. Sure both take copious amounts of skill .... but then so does killing yourself with a spoon.

I enjoy watching the videos, but the corvettes like to spin out of control. It seems like there are a lot of videos of corvettes going out of control from just smoking the tires.

I was there.....this was a controlled environment, police and fire department were on hand. Spectators were well out of the way of any danger. The participants in this event had changed out their tires just for this event. Honestly some members of this forum needs an enema...some of the posters in this thread are driving the wrong vehicle if they find fault in this contest. Sometimes this place is so uptight, it reminds me of those old guys in caddyshack. Get a grip people, you only go around this life once.
I was there too. These guys are very experienced performance drivers. All fire and safety personnel were on hand. It was a great event to end a 175 entry all Corvette show. A huge crowd pleaser.
