Default Bad rain leak in 08 C6

I parked my 08 Coupe slightly nose down yesterday during an all-night downpour. This morning, when I backed out of the parking place onto level ground, about 8 to 10 ounces of water (each side) poured onto my feet and my pasenger's feet. This car has never leaked a drop prior to this. Anybody heard of anything like this?

Don't recall anything. It may not be a big problem though. First check to make sure the cowl drain tubes aren't blocked. If you park outside all the time it's possible crud has worked its way down there and blocked things up. FWIW I've had a couple of cars, not Vettes, in the past that leaked into the passenger area if they were parked with the front higher than the rear during rain. If nose down they were fine. You may just need to adjust your parking plan if you can't find any other explanation. Do a test with a hose with the car nose up and down and see what happens. Good luck.

If it is not the cowl drains as described you might have a leaky windshield.

I did have the windshield replaced recently.

After it is totally dried, I would do the hose test and find where water is coming from.

This should be an easy fix. Look for crimped weatherstripping that may indicate that you didn't line things up properly prior to locking the roof down the last time it was off the car.

I ran gallons of water with the hose trying to make it leak. Not a drop.

could it have something to do with opening and closing the door(s) this morning? when you tested with hose, was the car parked the same way, nose slightly down? not doubting you, but are you certain the water came from the top or upper ends vs. say, over the door sill?

Did you found out what was causing this exactly? I’m having the same problem.

It's a 10 year old thread and the OP hasn't posted anything in the C6 forum for years.
