The $14 sets work fine and better than the metal ones (less chance of slipping). There used to be a guy that made them and tossed in a carrying bag for a delivered cost under $25. I don't remember the name and I don't see him in the current list.
I like the rectangular BMW jacking pucks...they snap securely into the oval frame slots and their slightly tapered end fits onto my jack stands nicely. You can install them before going to the dealership and be assured they wont fall out. I modified them by slightly drilling out the center pins and screwing a small brass screw into each pin (leaving the screw head sticking out a bit). When removing the pucks, having the screw heads sticking-out makes it easier to grasp onto them with pliers or a Leatherman tool to pull the pins down to relieve the pressure.
If you put jacking pucks in before leaving your car with the dealership (or any shop) always inform them you put jacking pucks in. Also, never leaver the jacking pucks installed permanently...put them in when you need them and remove them when you don't.
