I just rolled over the 1500 mile mark in my GS last week... and I hit it open for the first time to the redline with my best friend Burnsie from college in the right seat. We launched to 100 so fast that it scared us both. He turned and said I have never been this anxious since the day we stopped by Adamo's place and he let you drive his Javelin with a 405 Oldsmobile drag race motor dropped in. "This car is sick"..... (the Javelin was back in '73 or so...). To be honest, this car is much faster than the old Javelin.

My 07 LS2 is no where near this car. I have no idea what they did with the Wixom LS3's but the car runs like hell.

Well, i guess i'll never know who built mine because after spending quite a bit of time searching and printing out pics of where it should be, no tag!!!!!!!!......Are these prone to falling off?

Sir;
Be patient-simply remove the passenger side rail cover, look on the RIGHT side of the intake manifold & wolllaaa, she appears. Would really be surprised if the nameplate simply fell off. Wish you the Best!

I do have the feature article from Vette magazine on the GM Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan building the GS LS3 engines, and my guy is featured in the pictures too, Richard McBride. Thanks Rich for a great motor, the thing's a bear. With only 1,200 miles it completely embarassed a friend's "tuned" '03 ZO6 on an airport runway this past weekend.

If you have a dry sump LS3 you should definitely have a name tag. The adhesive sticks really well so I'd be surprised if it fell off.
Not likely it was forgotten - the engines are inspected twice for various items - name tags are on the check list.

If you want to post your engine number (from bar code label on LH head front surface) I can try to check what our records at Wixom show.

See following post for bar code label location.

It's tough to see the first few letters on the bar code but this is the last 8 digits if that helps...Thanks in advance

For a look at bar code label location go to following page on the LS7 site. Look at post 2750.

Hope this helps!

Okay, i found the tag....I was under the impression after reading various posts on here that it was on the front facing pass. side intake manifold but it is on the rear top of the manifold...Tough to find if you're not looking in the right place

You realize that you have an LS7 and not an LS3, right?

Yep, hence the confusion...Didn't realize that the tags were in different locations on the different motors
