Changing out foot well lights to LED bulbs?

Just changed out to LED's in a 2006 base. The most difficult were the footwell courtesy bulbs. BUT, it's really simple once I figured them out!!!
2 small flat head screw drivers.
Get one small flat head in on an end and start pulling the lense loose.
Use the 2nd small flat head to then pull the lense down from the side. That's the trick...the lense in place on both sides with "*****". Once you get the first loose it comes right out of the hold.
BTW, I use a pair of small 90 degrees needle nose pliers to remove the tiny little bulbs with no difficulty at all.
Now go treat yourself to a super easy update!

I am changing out all my lights to LED lights. I managed to get out the mirror 'map' lights and change them out and LOVE the white LED light. I also changed out the license plate lights. Love them as well. Much whiter light and more pleasing to my eye.
How do you get to the foot well lights? Do you pop off the cover with a screw driver or does the whole light assembly pull out?
Anyone who has done this, please chime in with your advice.
Thanks!

Hello. I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to say thank you as I just ran into this very same issue. I saved my original lights, so I just connected both of them to resolve this issue as described above. I'm curious if anyone has plugged in their LED strips again to see if this issue comes back immediately or if it does like it did originally, 1.5 years in my experience on my 2014 C7 Z51, 3LT.
