Default Battery tender with rear mounted battery

I'm getting ready to put my GS to sleep for the winter and was wondering how you guys are attaching your battery tenders to the car?

A friend with a ZR1 installed his by running it into the rear bumper area and then had the plug come through the hole above the license plate. very clean install.

I have a Z06, and I connect the positive at the lug under the fuse cover(under the hood) and the negative at the ground connection below the fuse box slightly to the rear.

I connected a lengthened Battery Tender wiring harness directly to the battery. The quick-disconnect is routed through the passenger-side rear-license-plate light opening and zip-tied to the license plate cover.

Me too. Use the same hookup shown for jumping the car. I believe there is a sticker under the hood showning this exact hook up.

I hook up DIRECT to the battery in the trunk. FWIW I always hook up direct to any battery, being doing that since 1963 and see no reason to do different! If you do things right no problem!

I hook to battery and gently close hatch. Wires are fine, as this is the third winter on my Z. I leave both windows 1/2 way down and cover with a Calif. car cover. Car sits like this from mid Nov to mid April.

Car is in a secure mouseproof garage under house.

Google search for "Battery Tender cigarette lighter adapter" and pick the first hit: http://www.autogeek.net/battery-tend...r-adapter.html. With shipping it cost me $11.94. Plug this adapter into the cigarette lighter under the console lid, connect it to the Battery Tender cable, and route the wire out the driver's door. There's a notch toward the front of the door sill that will allow you to close the door without pinching the wire.
