Default Headlight problem

At first i thought it was a bad bulb since i replaced, got a new bulb and its still doing it. here is a video of it the best i could get. As you see the pass side is not throwing as much light and its flickering. My guess would be the stock ballast is the problem anyone else have any insight. Had to close the dam mufflers in the video so much noise..

I'm pretty sure your ballast is on it's way out.

You can replace the ballast but it's on the bottom of the headlight. I'm not really sure what you mean by "swapping"... I'm not sure if it requires you to remove the headlight assembly from the car to access the ballast but it's held in by 4 screws.

If you put a new bulb in the other head light does it match the right one or is it brighter?

UmX, forgive me for going totally of the post topic, but is that the rear end of your car in your avatar?! If so, what brand are the Halo LED Tailights? They look fantastic and have been looking for something exactly like them! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

not a problem..with the set on my car now. I originally had all 4 working, 1 got water in it and stopped working on running lights. so i pulled out the running light wire on the far right one to make it look the same. but all 4 light up when hitting the brakes or using a blinker.

I kind of like with the 2 on for running lights, bc its different and people dont know its a vette at night until they get close.

Yep the ballast is probably going out. I've seen it quite a bit lately.

You can find aftermarket parts to make a standard ballast work. I've never tried it and I have no clue where you would mount the ballast.

looks like it wasnt a bad ballast either. Bc the new 55w hid kit has the same problem.. I guess the projector could have build up on it damping the light output?

That won't cause flickering.

If you've tried a new ballast/igniter and new bulbs, that only leaves the wiring to the headlights, unless the ballast you got also happens to have the same issue.
