Sorry, no it will not work on a 2005 model....You need to have the Multi Mode exhaust....

Do they have things like this switch and exhaust for other cars?

No, I am not aware of any other cars that have the dual mode exhaust?

Ive never had the NPP dual exhaust, but my 2010 GS I ordered will have it. If mild to wild allows manually changing, how do these work in the first place? The exhaust i mean. Does the dual mode automatically change per your driving modes? I figured it was just an exhaust you can set quiet or louder. Without a mild to wild switch, is the dual exhuast just setting itself back and forth as you hit certain rpms, or it it just set it to ur preference and it stays that way until you change it. A brief explaination of how the ehaust works standard, then with the switch added would be greatly appreciated.

Normally the NPP exhaust starts with the tips closed (quiet), then they open (loud) at 3500 RPM. The mild to wild switch allows you manual control of when they're open and when they're closed.

Thanks,
Dave

UPS delivered mine yesterday. It was a nice, easy install thanks to the online directions from Southern Car Parts.

Talk about a "Jekyll and Hyde" switch! I had to leave work early and go for a 1 hour cruise just so I could play around with it.

I have a question....

It has two settings.. 1. Open, and 2. Closed.

If I set it to closed, will it open up automatically anymore like the default factory setting for my ZR1 just above 3100 rpm? Or does it stay closed no matter what rpm I bring the car to?

Correct, in the closed setting it operates like factory, opening at the higher RPM's....

Got mine from Southern and the first one did not work. I emailed them and they put another one in the mail without waiting for the return of my original. The second one worked great and installation took 2 minutes.... I love this MOD

Guys,

We have partnered with Ed from Pipe Dreams and are offering his Mild to Wild Switch for $89.99 with free shipping. This is not a copy cat product, but the official Corvette Mild to Wild as seen on Jay Leno and Vette Magazine.

Ordering and additional info at the link below...
Corvette C6 Mild to Wild Switch

In stock and ready to ship!!

Also have a cool video on the site that shows the mild to wild in action.

Thanks,

Jim

Quick question, the documentation mentions through 2009, so I assume it also works on a 2010?
