Default My C6 wants...

My C6 wants to watch the Speed Channel and Powerblock TV in an unheated and uncooled garage.

How many of you have Tv's in your unheated/uncooled garage? I want to put a 26" LCD out there but I am concerned about the environment. Will an LCD take the cold and heat?

I had a CRT Tv out there for 3 years and it bit the dust. The vette is going stir crazy in winter storage without it's Tv. LOL!

So what do you all think about an LCD Tv with temps ranging from 0* in the winter to over 100* in the summer in the garage?

I am out there working a lot and need a TV out there to keep up with races, car shows, football, etc.

I would suggest checking the manufacturers recommendation. I have found that LCD screens get sluggish if too cold. Plasma may be a better option and less $.

My GF bought me a 19" HD set. I mounted it to a great swivel I found at Costco. The MFG recs are for 32 degrees as a min. I have a ceramic heater which is set to kick on at 45 degrees. Now I can work in the garage during racing and football games.

I have been considering heating my garage just for this purpose (and so I can work in the winter).

What do you guys suggest for heat if you can't maintain a TV in the cold?

I have a wall mount propane heater in my garage. I keep it set on its lowest setting when I'm not working out there and it stays about 60 degrees.
