"Chrysler Group LLC has announced that for all 2010 model year vehicles, it will eliminate bulky owner’s manuals made out of paper and replace them with a more earth-friendly (and glove box friendly) digital version stored on a DVD. Chrysler says this move will save 930 tons of paper (the equivalent of 20,000 trees) each year." If GM follows suit, we'll be answering lots more questions!!

I am driving a friend's Vette currently while he is out of town and he doesn't have a manual in his vehicle, or if he does I can't find it. I couldn't figure out how to do it. Thanks for everyone's help. If all goes well I may be picking up an 06 Vert on Friday, my first Vette with HUD. Now I know.

OK this time, but just so you know, there's a limit on how many questions you can ask on the Forum that can easily be answered by reading the manual.
So if you find that the lights in the mirror are staying on or you've locked yourself out of the car and you don't know where the key goes, or you want to know what the little orange light in the visor clip is for, do some Searching first to avoid further derision.
Congrats on the new ride, welcome. And seriously, there are no stupid questions. But don't count on never seeing some stupid replies.................like, maybe this one.

I learned that lesson long ago when I was a member of the C5 forum back around 2004 or so. Thanks for the reminder though. I will post pics next weekend after picking up the car.

Can you adjust the HUD?
Love this forum, I had the same issue and adjusted the seat to view it better, great to know will adjust it in the morning. I'm also going also break out the manual to unlock all the neat features of the 3LT package.
Thanks
Thanks

I read the manual the evening I get the car. THEN about a year later I read it again. Always surprised at how many features didn't register the first time or have more relevance now that I have experienced the car for awhile.

This message is not to make fun of those that don't read their owners manual. If you don't read anything else in it, please read the section on the emergency door release and how to use it along with the location. It could save your life or the life of someone you care about.
