Chuck Cow is Udderly (lol) fantastic! My car really Mooos!
I had my “Chuck Cow” tune today. OMG, it runs awesome now! I had a previous tune that was from a handheld but there was no support for my A4 tranny.
So I sold it to a forum member and saw Chuck today. With only my previous tune and a bone stock one as comparisons, all I can say is it felt like I was driving a new car when I left him.
I have a 160 t-stat, SLP Blackwing intake and long tube 1 7/8” headers with 3” pipes. Also, I have a catted x-pipe to a 2 ½” reduction for my stock mufflers and tips. I had Magnaflows on there before my headers but switched back to stock due to the dreaded drone once I added the long tubes (I’m getting too old for that noise and I have a nice rumble with the stocks).
I always felt my LS2 was fast but with the added tune of the tranny PLUS the engine tune it now launches when you floor it. I’m getting older and prefer to feel the Vette’s power in the lower speeds and the tranny tune provided me that. But let me tell you, when you floor it at ANY speed that you are in for a wild ride.
I wish someone took a picture of my face the first time I floored it. Holy sh*t!!
My A4 tranny seemed like it was either in 1st or fourth gear before and the only way to kick it down a gear was to floor it. Now the upshifts are further in the rpm’s and much firmer too. Also with just the touch of the gas my tranny now downshifts faster than I could with a stick.
I don’t know how he worked his magic but this wizard of Corvette’s was banging away on his laptop and then looked at me and smiled and said, “Your car is gonna be fun now!”
Anyone in the area that is on the fence, do yourself a favor and jump off it. He’s only here a couple of more days and you’ll be sorry you didn’t spend the money.
Chuck is very informative and is truly an expert and pioneer in his field. He is also very protective of his reputation on this forum and for that anyone here will get only his best.
I can only imagine what he does to a Z06 with a 6 speed automatic.
