Default Best way to self bleed brakes

I'm having Mike do my brake calipers. When they return, what does everyone use to bleed their brakes? Self bleeding methods? Want to get them on and going in a hurry so see how that extra 100hp feels....

Speed bleeders. Piece of cake.

The part number is SB1010S at https://www.speedbleeder.com/.

I really like to Motive as well when I've borrowed a friends. I've got a caliper side bleeder that I use from Griots, but you need an air compressor to use it. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...rrivals&page=1

All things being equal I like the Motive better, but if you want to save some money and have a more flexible solution the Griots is pretty good (providing you have an air compressor).

Default "Crossed" brake system

I installed speed bleeders (Dorman #12701, from Orileys) and then siphon out old fluid in the master cylinder. Then I use a 12 oz bottle of fluid to replace fluid removed (syphoned) from the M/C. Now I take a 32 oz bottle of fluid and remove top cap AND puncture a 3/8" hole in foil on top seal (DO NOT REMOVE SEAL) and place upside down on top of the M/C and it will automatically refill the M/C (you can hear it dripping to refill the M/C). When you don't hear anymore dripping, bottle is EMPTY. Start by bleeding in this order:

Right rear passanger,
Left front driver,
Left rear driver, and
Right front passenger.

I buy six (6) feet of 3/16" clear tubing and cut in half and bleed into gallon milk bottles laying on their sides.

This system sure saves alot of money for other mods, and doesn't take long, very quick.

Note: the Corvette brakes are crossed and connected front to back. This helps prevent the Vette from spinning out when one brake is lost. I do not know how far back, years, they go with the "crossed" brake system. Maybe someone can fill us in on this. Thanks!

Just got my calipers back from Mike a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't believe how easy Speedbleeders were. Did it by myself in a few minutes.

To the speed bleeder users: do you have one or two bleeders on each caliper?

This is probably the most cost effective and easiest tool you can use to bleed brakes. I tried the speedbleeders and did not like them. I also have a Mity Vac, and it works ok, but the Motion Pro tool works better/easier for me and I can use it on all my vehicles. $19.95

It works essentially the same as the Speedbleeders do, but you can simply move it from one bleeder to the next.
