Layering NXT Polish - how much is enough
Can you put on to many layers? If using NXT can you put on too many layers?
Does layering help? waste of time?
How many layers to get max shine?

Layering NXT is a waste of time as it's a cleaner wax so it won't layer up as new layers end up removing part of the previous layer. Meguiar's technical staff only recommend doing two layers at the most, only to make sure you get even coverage, but anything more than this doesn't make the protection any better. You can reapply it every month to get fresh protection if you like though.

I have used Pledge on motorcycles to remove bugs and clean the windshield with good success, though I agree it doesn't last. It also attracts honey bees.
NXT Tech Wax 2.0 is a polymer treatment. I don't see anything on the label that indicates it is a "cleaner" wax or contains any abrasives like some cleaner waxes do.
I just did my car with it yesterday, and I did 2 coats just to make sure I didn't miss any spots. They recommend making sure you have no surface contamination on the car and suggest using a clay bar on it first, though I didn't. They also warn about using it on oxidized surfaces. I'm not sure what the problem is with using it on oxidized paint, but it may be that it makes it hard to remove.
There were some complaints about the original NXT formula not lasting very long, and Mequires quickly came out with the new 2.0 version which is supposed to last a lot longer.

Nothing sticks to my snowmobile, and snow and wet beads off real quick... Pledge has been around a long time... I can't get the nerve to put pledge on my Blade-silver paint .

For a nice quick cleaner and finish try Honda spray. It can be found in Honda motorcycle stores and is great stuff for getting bugs off and quick detail. It has cornuba wax in it and is the best detail quick polish I've ever used. Try it!

NTX has some compound in it!
It doesn't say so on the label but it does have mild cleaners and mild paint correcting abrasives in it, read below:

I use Pledge dang near everyday on my C6 in the summer. A couple of Microfiber towels and a little Pledge removes all the dust before I head out. 3 can of Pledge at Costco is pretty cheap and in 10 minutes I leave the garage in a gorgeous car
Secret is to wipe lightly and dont use it to clean really dirty areas. But doing this has certaintly decreased the number of times I need to wash the car.
Used it on my C5 for over five years and on my Goldwing as well. Doesnt hurt the paint in the least as far as I can tell.
