Congratulations on your new C-6. The more that you drive the C-6 the more difference that you will discover between this car and the C-5.

I was thinking the same thing... just out of curiosity... how many miles did you have on your 97... it looks new! Keep my address.. if you keep the 2010 like the 97 I'll but it...

Did you buy your neighbor the CLB? I'd hate for him to hunt you down.

Sweet rides! Enjoy your new C6. I came from C5 as well.

The 97 had 73k on the clock. And you are right, it is in great shape.
My neighbor approached me when he found out I was considering a C6 and had to have it because he know how I took care if it. Honestly, the C6 decision was literally a spur of the moment decision and opportunity I just jumped at.

Ya, big improvement is an understatement. I really liked my C5 but I absolutely love the C6. Now, if I can just figure out this darn two disk nav system I am a happy camper

Silver w/ compgrey Z would have been my 1st choice for ease of cleaning. Great comp.pics .Really shows off the C6 difference and just how large the C5 was. I had a C5 vert which was a little more pleasing to the eye due to a different roof line.

Welcome to the family. You will find a lot of us here that came over from the C5. Awesome cars all around. I made nearly the same jump you made coming from a '97 C5 in to the C6. I've never looked back. Here's to many miles of smiles in your new Corvette.

Have a look here to start getting comforatable with the Corvette navigation system. Let me know if you have any questions.

I did the CLB a few years ago so no worries there.
My neighbor is a great guy and he knows what a terrific car he got.

These are great, thanks. Similar to my wife's CTS but for the life of me why the C6 uses two disks is beyond me and quite awkward.

From what I have read here the 2 discs are just for Advertizers, the full map/driving directions are on both/either. the difference is in the "local" advertizing POI (and income for the manufacturer of the discs, there's not enough room on one disc for all the McDonalds/Starbucks/motels).

THAT'S A GREAT PICTURE of the C5 and C6 together.

It was the first time I thought to myself, 'hmmm, I like the C6 I bought 2 mos. ago better'.

I had a Spiral Gray 03 before this, and didn't think anything could look better (although I will always be partial to the Midyears).

I didn't realize how much different they do look when placed side by side.

Congrats and enjoy
